We’re here to support independent living

The Kopernik Apartments is a low rise, two story independent living Seniors’ complex that is nestled beautifully in the Champlain Heights Area.The building hosts 33 suites – 20 of which are bachelor and 13 are one-bedroom. Preference is always given to couples for the one bedroom suites but a waiting list is kept for those wishing to upgrade if there are no couples available.

Amenities

Each apartment (depending on its location) enjoys either a balcony or patio and comes with a fridge and stove and offers an in-suite storage unit. Rent also includes heat, hydro and TV Polonia with full TV Cable. For an additional charge, meals can be accommodated at the Lodge.There is also a large centrally located laundry room and a chapel where Mass is held.

Activities

Whenever possible, the tenants are invited to participate in the Lodge’s activities such as bus outings, Christmas dinners, dances and various other events of Polish entertainment.

Assistance

The Federal and Provincial governments provide financial assistance to eligible tenants to limit their tenant rent contribution to 30% of gross household income. The amount of subsidy provided is the difference between the tenant rent contribution and the actual rent of the suite.
